A former prostitute girlfriend of Ian Watkins said today she warned police about the singer's depraved nature four years ago after he told her he wanted to have sex with a child.
Joanna Majic, 38, admitted she had a two year on-off relationship with the rock star from 2006, but dumped him when he told her his sexual fantasies revolved around child abuse.
The singer, a former boyfriend of BBC presenter Fearne Cotton and model Alexa Chung, also admitted he used his Lostprophets fame to turn young girls into ‘Superfans’ willing to allow him to abuse their children.
Yesterday Watkins was described as a 'determined and committed paedophile' after he admitted attempting to rape a fan's 11-month-old baby son along with 10 other child sex offences.

Ms Majic says Watkins, 36, wanted her to help him find a victim, so she went to South Wales Police but she claims they refused to investigate.

'Everything changed for us when he confided in me that he wanted to abuse children in 2008,' she told the Daily Mirror.

'I went straight to South Wales Police then and made a complaint but they ignored me and said I needed evidence.
'I warned them this man was a danger to young kids but I think they thought I was just a trouble maker.
'I couldn’t believe how indifferent the police were, it was like they were taking his side and dismissing me as some stalker.
'I told Ian I had gone to the police and we argued but he was so cocky, he did not think the police would touch him and he was right.
'It was then I realised I had to turn off any feelings I had for him and turn on my escort mode.
'I had to treat him as any other client and try and get as much evidence as I could while pretending to be whatever it was he wanted me to be'.
At Cardiff Crown Court yesterday Watkins pleaded guilty to attempting to rape the 11-month-old baby of a fan 'Woman A' and conspiring to rape the baby daughter of another fan 'Woman B'.
The two fans, both in their twenties and from different parts of England, are also facing jail after admitting their role in the sex offences on their own children.

Cardiff Crown Court heard Watkins was videoed committing the depraved acts and was 'clearly identifiable' because of his many tattoos and his voice.
But Watkins claimed not to remember doing it because he was a 'heavy user' of class A drugs including Crystal Meth at the time.
Watkins spoke only to enter his pleas as he admitted attempting to rape the baby.
The singer, dressed in a three-piece dark blue suit, also admitted sexually assaulting the baby by touching him.
A laptop seized from Watkins's home was password protected and was later sent to GCHQ to have it 'cracked.'
Experts found the password was an obscene reference to child abuse and contained a cache of extreme pornography.
Investigation: South Wales Police are now investigating a detective sergeant accused of not investigating Ian Watkins before he abused a baby

A detective sergeant is under investigation after being accused of failing to act on information of child sex crimes by Watkins.
Further accusations have emerged that the singer was reported for sexual indecency to police before he attempted to rape an 11-month-old baby boy.
South Wales Police are accused of failing to 'take appropriate and timely action' after getting the information from other fans of the band.
The investigation centres on the detective sergeant - who is understood to have worked in child protection services in Watkins home town of Pontypridd, South Wales.
The sergeant, formerly based in the regional command HQ in Pontypridd, is currently being probed by the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

South Wales Police allegedly received information from four different police forces across Britain about Watkins.

The detective sergeant is also accused of not acting on a separate alleged crime in March 2012 of the alleged rape of a girl.
One fan said: 'There was stuff about Watkins for years on fans websites. The police should have acted a lot, lot sooner.
'People who knew Watkins could see he was getting deeper and darker. He should have been stopped earlier.'
IPCC Commissioner for Wales Tom Davies said: 'We received a referral from South Wales Police on January 25, 2013, relating to Ian Watkins.
'Following a thorough assessment I have decided that we will carry out an independent investigation.
'Our investigation will determine whether or not South Wales Police failed to take appropriate and timely action in relation to information they were in receipt of in advance of Mr Watkins subsequent arrest.'
Mr Davies added: 'The referral from the force was into the alleged inaction of one officer, who is also being investigated in a separate case over similar allegations.'
A South Wales Police spokesman said: 'The investigation is in the IPCC's hands.'

Watkins compared to Savile as he agreed to be 'ambassador' for charity and visited unwell children in hospital

Paedophile rock star Ian Watkins followed in the footsteps of Jimmy Saville by visiting children in hospital for a charity who made him an 'ambassador for young people'.
The singer, 36, was even greeted by a Government minister as he took the role - smiling as he went to see boys and girls on their sick beds - just like notorious pervert Jimmy Savile.
The sick Lostprophets singer has now been stripped from his title as an 'ambassador for young people' for Kidney Wales Foundation.
There is no evidence he abused anyone on his visit.
His fans hailed him as 'such a genuine person' after he visited staff and children at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff - and appeal for people to become organ donors.
He also developed a clean-cut image where he was said to avoid drink and drugs.
But Watkins had already started on a string of sex offences which would lead to him attempting to rape an 11-month-old baby boy.
Speaking at the time of the hospital visit in 2008, he said: 'I had a great time meeting all the kids at the hospital.
'Lots of the children are waiting for a kidney transplant, but there's a desperate shortage of donors.
'That's why we need more people to join the Organ Donor Register and help save a life one day.'
Watkins backed the Donate Wales campaign and met with then Labour Health Minister Edwina Hart of the Welsh Government.
Lostprophets even headlined a special one-off concert on New Year's Eve where he urged fans to sign the NHS Organ Donor Register.

He added: 'I'm really proud to be the charity's new ambassador for young people
and will be working with them on the Donate Wales campaign.

'We can continue to get more young people to sign-up.'
Watkins got involved with the charity in 2008 because of his mother Elaine's on-going health problems.
She had a kidney transplant two years ago and her condition is said to have been worsened by the revelations of Watkins sick child sex crimes.

Female fans also warned of singer's child porn obsession

Exclusive by Paul Bentley
The police face serious questions over why they failed to act sooner to stop the Lostprophets singer after it emerged fans had also warned for nearly four years that he was obsessed with child porn.
From early 2010 horrified fans who had become friends with Watkins went online to beg for help after discovering vile images on his computer.
Friends claim they called police to tell them the 36-year-old was a paedophile but officers did nothing, allowing him to go on to subject babies to the most horrific abuse.
A disturbing child porn profile created in that time by Watkins was viewed by more than 40,000 people on the internet and yet appears never to have been monitored by authorities.

In one post, written before his arrest, a fan wrote: ‘His on-off girlfriend reported him to police twice for being a paedophile.
‘He sent pornographic pictures of a little girl to a few girls telling them it was a five-year-old girl he’d raped. He also watches child porn constantly. Sick sick man.’
Watkins allegedly boasted to obsessed female fans that he had HIV and was on a mission to pass it on to children.
One fan added: ‘A girl found info on his computer on how to drug children. He told her he was thinking of giving kids drugs. He does need to be arrested before he infects anyone else.’
Watkins was only stopped late last year after South Wales Police raided his home on a drugs tip and stumbled upon his hard drives containing images, videos and conversations about him attacking children.
Yesterday police said he had taken vile pictures of children for as long as five years and may have many other victims across the world.
In August 2010 one fan wrote online that he had been grooming underage girls online.

Five months later, Watkins created a vile online profile, uploading 27 images of himself involved in depraved sex acts. The images were viewed more than 43,000 times.
He had also openly subscribed to groups on the site which contained images of child abuse.
Last night South Wales Police did not respond to questions about why they did not act sooner.
They vowed, however, to keep investigating in case there are more victims.
