It's clear who will be winning the prizes for best costume this Halloween.
Never needing an excuse for a laugh, Neil Patrick Harris, 40, and partner, David Burtka, wore matching Tweedledum and Tweedledee costumes as the devoted parents attended a school party in Studio City, California, on Saturday.
Hilary Duff, 26, however, didn't make the effort to get into the spirit of the spooky holiday, and stuck to black leggings and top with a baggy checked shirt tied around her waist.
Everyday clothes: Hilary Duff, husband Mike Comrie and son Luca were all dressed normally for the Halloween party in Studio City on Saturday
Halloween spirit: Neil Patrick Harris and partner David Burtka were Tweedledee and Tweedledum, as son Gideon dressed as the White Rabbit, and daughter Harper was Evil Alice for the Alice in Wonderland theme
Even 19-month old son, Luca, wasn't in costume as he was carried by his doting mum, but at least he kept the family's checked theme going with black and white shorts.
The blonde-haired toddler scowled as he was cradled on Hilary's hip, perhaps annoyed that he didn't get to have fun and dress up.
Dapper bunny: The Doogie Howser star carried his well-dressed son, who turned three on October 12
And one who certainly isn't complaining is How I Met Your Mother actor Harris.
He and his family went all out with an Alice In Wonderland theme as three-year-old twins Harper and Gideon joined in the fun.
With black eye make-up, a white face, a pretty blue dress and a headband, Harper made a perfect evil Alice as she screwed her face up menacingly.
Meanwhile, Gideon looked very dapper in a red suit and pocket watch as the anxious White Rabbit.
Distracted dad: Hockey player Comrie was more interested in sipping his coffee than the Halloween-theme, while Hilary carried little Luca
Double daddy: Neil and David shared parenting duties and took it in turns to carry each twin
Perhaps inspired by their own identical darlings, Harris and Burtka wore the exact same yellow shirts, red trousers and silly hats to play the most famous twins in fantasy fiction, Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
While much slimmer than Lewis Carroll's notorious two-some from the classic children's book, Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There, the couple played the part perfectly.
They completed the cute ensembles with blue bow-ties, which Harper enjoyed played with as she sat on Daddy David's shoulders.

Family theme: Neil and David wore identical yellow shirts, red trousers and spinning hats as Lewis Carroll's famous fictional twins
Scary toddler: Harper dressed as an evil Alice in Wonderland as she straddled David's shoulders
Also attending the colourful kid's party at the exclusive Los Angeles-area school was Lamar Odom, 33, who was there to support his own children from ex-girlfriend Liza Morales.
The troubled NBA player looked gaunt and unhappy in a camouflage shirt and cargo trousers as his estrangement from wife, Khloe Kardashian, continues to take its toll.
Dour dad: Lamar Odom didn't look in a party mood as he attended to support his own children
Down and out: The former Los Angeles Laker was a shadow of his former fit self
The 39-year-old Junebug actress dressed as tough American cultural icon, Rosie The Riveter, in a denim shirt, jeans and a red handkerchief tied around her head.
Her adorable little girl, whose father is Amy's fiance Darren Le Gallo, went as as Maleficent from Disney's Sleeping Beauty, in a purple leotard, giant black horns and a cape.
Girl time: Amy Adams dressed as Rosie The Riveter, as Aviana went as Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty
Fancy dress: The Junebug actress' costume was comfortable, while her three-year-old daughter's was far more elaborate
