— Hooligan in Wembley scenes has just left prison
— Dean West glassed Olympic hockey player in bar
— He got 4½ years for wounding with intent to GBH

Yob ... Millwall hooligan Dean West, 24, glassed British Olympic hockey player
A FOOTBALL thug involved in shameful FA Cup scenes had only just left prison for glassing a British Olympic star.
Millwall fan Dean West, 24, repeatedly jabbed a broken glass into the back of hockey ace Simon Mantell’s head during a flare-up in a bar.
Mantell, 28 — who played in the 2008 Beijing Olympics but missed the London games through injury — had been partying near The Oval cricket ground.
West was sentenced to 4½ years in April 2011 for wounding with intent to cause GBH. He was freed eight weeks ago.
On Saturday, the trainee electrician was pictured throwing a punch as fellow yobs started fighting among themselves during the Wembley semi-final defeat against Wigan.
Confronted near his home in Maidstone, Kent, he said: “I spoke to police this morning to arrange an interview with my barrister. I’ve got nothing more to say.”

BRAVE police horse Bud recovers yesterday after being punched in the face by a crazed football yob.
Shire-cross Bud was on patrol in Newcastle city centre when he was attacked by a Toon fan after the side was thrashed 3-0 by rivals Sunderland on Sunday.
Inspector Trevor Thackray, of West Yorkshire Police — who are in charge of Bud — said last night: “He is fine and resting up.
“While the images on the news may have looked shocking, Bud wasn’t hurt. He will be back on the streets when duty calls.”
