Squirming ... Lindsay smiles awkwardly as the audience giggle at David's probing questions
LINDSAY Lohan was left reeling when US chat show host David Letterman asked her "do you have addiction problems?"
The troubled actress was appearing on David's Late Show when he fired a series of tricky questions at her making her visibly uncomfortable.
And when asked about her "addiction problems" Lindsay looked furious and made it clear she wasn't happy with the way the interview was heading by quipping that he sounded like US TV psychologist Phil McGraw.
She said: "Now you sound like Dr Phil."

When David pushes her further by firing a series of probing questions about the nature of the stay at her, Lindsay makes her disdain for his methods very clear.
He said: "How will this time be different? What are they rehabbing - what's on their list?"

Lindsay, 26, answered: "We didn't discuss this in the pre-interview. I'm just saying."
But she then continued to say: "I think to be honest I'm the happiest when I'm working, and the healthiest. I think this is an opportunity for me to focus on what I love in life. I don't think it's a bad thing. I think it's a blessing."
Lindsay also broke down in tears later in the interview - because David was beinng so nice to her about her good spirit.

He said: "We'd never thought we see you again honestly because of the jokes and stuff. But yet you have enough spine, enough sense of yourself, enough poise to come out here and talk to me."
Lindsay then visibly welled up as David handed her a tissue to wipe away her tears as he said: "She's tearing up a little bit. God bless you."
She joked: "Oh thanks, that makes it obvious and all."

Lindsay then struggled to introduce a clip from new flick Scary Movie 5 because of her emotions.
She said: "There's a lot of things in the scene. I'm flustered right now because you made me tear up because you're very sweet."
