KLABU ya michezo ya riadha ya Dar Es Salaam “Dar Running Club” (DRC) imeandaa mashindano ya mbio yajulikananyo kama “Mayday marathon” yatakayofanyika tarehe 02 Mei 2015 yatakayoanza na kumalizika katika viwanja vya Bwalo la Maofisa wa Polisi Oysterbay (Police Officers Mess).
Mgeni rasmi atakuwa ni Mkuu wa Jeshi la Polisi Tanzania Inspekta Generali wa Police Ernest Jumbe Mangu (IGP).
Akizungumza na waandishi wa habari Mlezi wa Klabu ya DRC Mkuu
wa mkoa wa kipolisi wa Kinondoni bwana Camillus Wambura) amesema DRC ni klabu
ambayo ilianzishwa rasmi kutokana na makundi mawili tofauti yenye malengo sawa
kimichezo, yaani Kinondoni police jogging club kutoka Polisi mkoa wa Kinondoni
na Dar Es Salaam Athletic Club yenye washiriki kutoka maeneo mbali mbali ya Dar
Es Salaam wakaamua kuungana na kuwa DRC.
DRC ina madhumuni makubwa
ya kuendeleza michezo ya riadha nchini mpaka nje ya nchi na kuhimiza
afya njema kimwili na kiakili, lakini pamoja na hayo muungano huu wa klabu
unasaidia sana kuimarisha mahusiano kati
ya Polisi na raia, hii inasaidia sana
katika usalama na kukuza na kuendeleza dhana ya Polisi jamii na ulinzi
shirikishi kwa jamii. Aliongezea….
Naye Captain wa DRC bi (Stella Mandago, na mratibu
wa mashindano haya amesema kuwa Mashindano haya yanatarajia kushirikisha
wanamichezo mbalimbali kutoka hapa nchini na
nje ya nchi pia, mashindano haya yatakuwa na washiriki watakao shiriki
katika mbio za kilometa ishirini na moja nukta moja (21.1km) na kilomita kumi
(10.0Km) yakiwa na lengo la kukuza na kuendeleza michezo ya riadha Tanzania na
nje ya nchi ili kuwawezesha wanamichezo kufikia hatua za kimataifa na kuhimiza
maisha yenye afya pia kudumisha mahusiano baina aya police na jamii.

ya Riadha “Dar Runing Club” inachukua fursa hii kukukaribisha kushiriki mbio hizi zinazotarajiwa
kuanza majira ya saa kumi na mbili asubuhi 12:00 katika viwanja tajwa hapo juu,
