Emirates marks 15 years of success in Tanzania

Dares Salaam: 25th Nov, 2012: Emirates, one of the fastest-growing airlines in the world, today marked 15 years of successful operation in the Tanzanian market.

Speaking at Serena Hotel to mark Emirates’ 15th anniversary, Emirates Country Manager for Tanzania Abdul-Aziz Al Hai thanked customers, agents, staff and other stakeholders for the support and commitment to Emirates over the years.
“We are proud to have served Tanzanian market for the past 15 years and we thank the many customers who have flown with us during that period,” said Al Hai. “Our services have gone from strength to strength over the years and we owe our success to the very important partnerships we have with our trade partners and to our loyal customers, as well as to the hard work and dedication of our local sales team, crew members, and operations team.”
He noted that Emirates had succeeded in creating a customer service company that focuses on friendly service and comfort both in the air and on the ground.

“We will continue to refine and refresh our product by listening to the valuable feedback from our customers while delivering more destinations, more choices and more value to them.”

Al Hai also thanked the government of Tanzania through the country’s Civil Aviation and Airport Authorities for their continued support.
He noted that Emirates’ success in the Tanzanian market has been due to provision of excellent in-flight service and entertainment, ongoing network expansion and focus on developing innovative ways to improve customer comfort and convenience.

“Our modern and convenient Dubai hub enables our customers to seamlessly connect to our ever-expanding global network,” Al Hai said.  

Emirates established operations in Tanzania in 1997, and employs 117 Tanzanians both in Tanzania and across Emirates Group. The airline flies daily from Julius Nyerere International Airport to Dubai, connecting passengers to 126 destinations in 74 countries across six continents.

 

Currently, the Tanzania route is operated by an Airbus 340-500/300, which will be upgraded to 777-300 ER as from February 1st, 2013. This will increase seat capacity from the current 258 seat to 360
