MOS DIARY: Pippa goes solo as she watches William's old flame tie the knot

Pippa Middleton set tongues wagging yesterday when she turned up for the wedding of a former flame of Prince William.... without her boyfriend Nico Jackson. 

The Duchess of Cambridge's younger sister, left, attended the marriage of Arabella Musgrave, 31, to George Galliers-Pratt, 34, at St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge. 

Miss Musgrave, a Gucci PR, went out with William in 1999 before he went to St Andrews University and famously met Kate.  

Arabella, the daughter of Major Nicholas Musgrave - a former manager of Cirencester Polo Club - has kept in touch with William and has since befriended Kate and Pippa.

But neither William - in Spain on a hunting trip - nor Kate, who is with members of her family in  Mustique, was able to attend yesterday.

Pippa, 30, who is expected to announce her engagement to Nico this year, arrived looking tanned in a champagne-coloured outfit after recently jetting back from Mustique herself. Nico is believed to have joined her family  there for the second year running. 

Other guests yesterday included model Lara Stone, the wife of comic actor David Walliams.

Olivia's leaving her flock behind

Olivia Colman's march to fame means the forthcoming third series of her popular sitcom Rev looks likely to be the last. 

'Olivia is now in everything,' says her Rev co-star Jimmy Akingbola. 

'She's had a huge amount of success, so I'm sure this will be the final series. Olivia is away with other projects a lot. It was almost impossible to get everyone sorted for this series, which is why there has been such a long gap between the second and this one. It's a shame but we're ending on a high.' 

In the show, Olivia plays the wife of an inner-city vicar.
