HEAD of state Barack Obama shows off his ball skills — with a version which can charge up a phone.
The sports-mad US President kicked and headed the “Soccket Ball” yesterday on the Tanzanian leg of his African tour.

Thirty minutes of play allows the ball — invented by two Harvard graduates — to store enough energy to power small electrical devices such as mobiles and lamps for hours.
Hundreds are set to be distributed across the continent to help bring electricity to remote areas.

Earlier Mr Obama was joined by his predecessor George W Bush for a wreath-laying ceremony in the city of Dar es Salaam, where 11 people died in a 1998 al-Qaeda bomb attack on the US embassy.
