SHARON Osbourne was last night touted as a dead cert to replace dumped Tulisa on The X Factor — after Mel B ruled herself out.

Show boss Simon Cowell was said to be “not looking at anyone else” other than Ozzy Osbourne’s missus after ex-Spice Girl Mel delivered her bombshell. A source said: “Simon is a huge fan of Sharon.

“Things are looking good for her. She is in pole position.” It means Sharon, 60, will be back on the judging panel full-time six years after she last held the job.

Cowell had been torn between Sharon and Mel.

But Scary Spice, 37 — who is already a judge on America’s Got Talent — has now also signed up to join funnygirl Dawn French, 55, on Australia’s Got Talent.

That will leave her too busy for The X Factor — on which she was a guest judge in the last series.

In another TV twist Dannii Minogue, 41 — who Sharon famously fell out with the last time round — was confirmed by Cowell to have joined the new Aussie X Factor. A pal said: “She lives in Melbourne now and can spend more time with her son Ethan.”
