Emirates launches A380 to Mumbai on July 22

*Emirates’ passengers in Tanzania can now experience this iconic aircraft when flying to India

DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA - July 21, 2014 
EMIRATES, a global connector of people and places, has today commenced its A380 operations to Mumbai, providing opportunities for Tanzanians travelling to India to enjoy the A380 experience when they connect through Dubai.
“We know there are many Tanzanian travellers who visit friends and family or conduct business in India, so we are delighted to be able to offer them the A380 experience when flying from Dar es Salaam, connecting to Mumbai through Dubai,” said Emirates Country Manager for Tanzania Khalid al Zarouni.
The Emirates A380 operating on the Mumbai route will feature 14 private First Class suites, 76 Business Class lie-flat seats and a spacious cabin for 399 Economy Class passengers.
On board, passengers can experience a range of unique facilities in all cabins - from the famous Shower Spas in First Class, to the A380 Onboard Lounge where passengers in the premium cabins can relax in a social environment during the flight; as well as 11.4” touch screen LED personal TVs.
Passengers across all cabins can enjoy up to 1,800 channels of the latest movies, TV shows and music from around the world alongside a range of games on the award-winning ice inflight entertainment system. The latest technology allows passengers to stay connected throughout the flight with high-speed Wi-Fi access and mobile phone and data services.
“The Emirates A380 truly is an unrivalled flying experience. We have redefined air travel with amazing features such as an on-board lounge and shower spa, making our flagship aircraft very popular among passengers. Now that Mumbai is being added to our global network of A380 destinations, I’m sure this will come as welcome news to many of our passengers in Tanzania flying to Mumbai,” he said.
The destinations to which Emirates A380 serves daily include Amsterdam, Barcelona, Beijing, Brisbane, Kuala Lumpur, London Gatwick, Los Angeles, Manchester, Mauritius, Manchester, Melbourne, Munich, Moscow, Rome, Seoul, Singapore, Zurich. The airline flies twice daily to New York JFK, Paris, Hong Kong, Jeddah, Bangkok and Sydney, and three times daily to Auckland and 5 times daily to London Heathrow. Emirates also flies A380 5 times weekly to Shanghai and three times weekly to Toronto.
Emirates will also introduce the A380 onto its daily service to Frankfurt from September 1, Dallas from October 1, San Francisco from December 1, and Houston from December 3rd.
Emirates operates daily flights between Dar es Salaam and Dubai and onward to more than 145 destinations.  EK 725 departs Dubai International Airport every day at 1050hrs and arrives at the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) in Dar es Salaam at 1515hrs. The return flight leaves JNIA at 1645hrs and lands in Dubai at 2320hrs every day.
