She may have shot to fame as a Disney teen, but Selena Gomez has slowly and surely been leaving those days behind her over the past few years.
And the 21-year-old singer and actress was sporting a particularly sophisticated and grown up ensemble as she stepped out at the KISS FM Jingle Ball in Dallas, Texas on Monday.
Flashing the flesh in a plunging navy blue Zara jumpsuit slashed to the waist, Selena wore her glossy brown hair in loose waves over her shoulders and subtle make-up which showed off her flawless skin.
Talking the plunge! Selena Gomez goes very sleek and sexy as she arrives at the KISS FMs Jingle Ball 2013 in Dallas, Texas on Monday night
The Texas native looked happy and relaxed at the American Airlines Center before taking the stage after performances from Ariana Grande, Robin Thicke and Pitbull.
She swapped her long glossy tresses for a short bobbed wig with bangs, textured bra top and hotpants with fabric panels draped over one shoulder and matching lace up knee-length boots.
Selena looked like she was getting in to the spirit of the occasion - dancing around waving her hands in the air while the wig stayed firmly in place.
But fellow teen queen Ariana Grande was equally striking in the fashion stakes, arriving on the red carpet in a white mini skirt, knee high socks and platform black heels.
Her caramel-coloured locks were worn tousled over her shoulders and crimson lipstick and smokey brown eye make-up completed the look.
Luckily, the rising star had some much needed support at her very first Jingle Ball in the form of boyfriend Nathan Sykes.
The 20-year-old star from boyband The Wanted was spotted with his arms around Ariana's waist backstage at the gig.
He had earlier tweeted a snapshot from the plane of his arrival into the Texan city with the caption: 'Hiiiiiiii!!! Hope everyone is well! Beautiful day in Dallas. Loved meeting the fans at the airport last night. You were so cute :)'
The diminutive singer with the big voice is currently promoting her latest single Snow In California which features on her holiday EP.
The Texas date is the first of 12 Jungle Ball shows this month, having grown from a one-date event back in 1996, according to USA Today.
Miley Cyrus will headline eights of the dates, with the final show hitting Miami on December 20, while her one-time twerking cohort Robin Thicke will play 11 shows.
However, organiser Tom Poleman, president of national programming platforms for Clear Channel Media + Entertainment, can't confirm whether Miley and Robin will be joining each other on stage again after their controversial VMA performance.
'I love everything that Miley is doing, she always goes for the headlines,' said Poleman. 'That's what makes the show magical, that people are dying to see what (artists) like Miley are going to do next.
'(Her manager Larry Rudolph) and I are just starting to talk about what will go into the performance, and I'll just say that she won't disappoint.'
A two hour concert special will air on December 18 on U.S. network The CW.
