Kym Lomas wears a little black dress as she attends Coronation Street co-star John Michie's farewell bash

By JASON CHESTER

She’s come a long way since Hear’Say.
Indeed, these days Kym Lomas is better known for her role as Michelle Connor in long-running soap Coronation Street after swapping stage for cobbles in 2006.
But while she’s used to dressing down as the feisty barmaid, Kym looked markedly different on Friday evening when she sported a classic little black dress for a farewell bash in Manchester.

A sight for sore eyes: Kym Lomas shows off a toned body and a deep, even tan as she makes her way to the White Lion pub
The 37-year-old actress accessorized the conventional evening dress with a distinctive crucifix on a long chain around her neck and a smart Chanel handbag, while her natural make-up was subtle and tastefully applied.
The look was completed by a pair of stylish peep-toe wedge heels that revealed her green painted toe nails as she made her way to the White Lion pub, where she was amongst the celebrity guests a leaving party for Scottish co-star John Michie.
Other stars from the popular soap to drop in for John’s leaving do included show regulars Simon Gregson, Sue Johnston, Jennie McAlpine, Alison King, Jane Danson and Mikey North.

Show off your pins: Peep toe stiletto shoe boots

Kym Lomas is the latest celebrity to ditch summery colours and prints in favour of head to toe in black.
Kym was all glammed up to attend the leaving bash of her Corrie co-star John Michie. Her dress was incredibly plain and could have looked boring, but Kym cleverly jazzed it up with stand-out accessories including a large crucifix pendant, Chanel handbag and a towering pair of studded open toe stiletto boots.
Boots aren't the obvious choice of summer shoe, but open toe boots are not only less hot and stuffy, but also give you the chance to show off your summer pedi!
The other great thing about these boots is that they are incredibly flattering. The stiletto heel adds height (just over 5 inches to be precise!) and the low cut of the front also helps to elongate the leg.
Kym's exact pair are currently on sale at under half price - so get buying quick and grab a bargain!

Another Corrie star making her presence felt on the night was stunning actress Georgia May Foote, who turned heads in her own little black dress.
The sleeveless number was accessorized with a thick chain, while a pair of white ankle socks and black boots finished it off.
Like Kym, the young actress showed off a deep, even tan as she strolled towards the local pub with co-star Mikey, who opted for a smart casual look comprised of a fitted black sweater and skinny jeans.

Departing Mitchie has played Karl Munro on the show for the last two years, but will switch channels in 2014 when he takes on a new role in BBC hospital drama Holby City.
‘I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Holby City, and I’m looking forward to taking on a new challenge,’ he told The Sun. ‘My mum was a nurse and always wanted me to be a doctor, not an actor. So finally, her wish has half come true.’
